barablu on Windows Mobile

 

1. What operating system do I need to use barablu for Pocket PC?

To use barablu for Pocket PC and Smartphones you need MS Windows Mobile 5.0 or 6.0.

 

2. What are the minimum hardware requirements needed?

The minimum hardware requirements needed to use barablu for Pocket PC are as follows:

· Operating System: MS Windows Mobile 5.0 or 6.0.

· Display: 320x240, 640x480 (portrait or landscape), 240x240, 480x480

· CPU: 312Mhz + (Optimized sound quality versions for Intel Xscale, 312Mhz and for 400MHz+), b

· Network: WiFi.

 

3. How do I download the software?

To download barablu for Pocket PC go to the mobile download page, select the brand of your Pocket PC followed by the model and click on the link to begin downloading. You can either download on your PC using the .exe file and later transfer it to your Pocket PC. Or you can select the .cab file and download directly on your Pocket PC.

 

4. Do I have to be a barablu user to download the software?

No. You don't have to be a registered barablu user to use barablu from a Pocket PC. You can create a new login for yourself from the dialler on your Pocket PC/ Mobile/ PC. Or if you already have an account with barablu, you can log in to the dialler on the Pocket PC using the same username and password.

 

5. Is the account for Pocket PC any different from my regular barablu account?

No. Your barablu account is the same irrespective of where you use it from. You can use the same username and password to login to your account from a Pocket PC, Mobile, PC or even use it from your IP phone and your details will be the same. Even your contact list will be synchronised.

However, do remember that if you login on two separate devices with the same username and password, you will get logged out from the device you logged in first. You will also be notified on the same.

 

6. How do I get my contact list on barablu for Pocket PC?

If you already have a barablu account created on your mobile or PC, then all your contacts will be synchronised when you log in to the Pocket PC using the same username and password. If you are a new user, then your contact list will be empty when you log in for the first time. You can add your contacts one by one or you can even search for other barablu users using the Global Directory and add them to your contact list. Using the dialler on the PC you can even import all your contacts from Yahoo and Outlook mail directly on your barablu dialler.

 

7. Can I use a headset while using barablu ?

If your PDA has an input for headset then you can use your headset while making calls using barablu. Just plug in your headset on your PDA and use it like you would normally do.

8. Can I use barablu for Pocket PC from GPRS?

Yes. You can also use barablu using 3G/ HSPDA and WiFi.

 

9. Can I make cheap calls to landline and mobile numbers?

Yes. You can use all the features of barablu including making cheap barablu calls to landline and mobile phones from your Pocket PC. To make calls to landline and mobile phones,  you need credit in your barablu account. Add credit.

 

10. I have a barablu online number, can the same number be used on Pocket PC?

Yes. Your barablu online number is linked to your barablu account, not to the device from which you are using it. So if you have a barablu online number, the same number will work irrespective of the device, whether it is a mobile, Pocket PC, PC or an IP phone.

 

11. What are the features of barablu for Pocket PC?

With barablu for Pocket PC, you can use all the features that you would normally use while using barablu from Mobile or from a PC. This includes free voice calls to other barablu users on their Pocket PCs, Mobiles, PCs or IP phones, free instant messaging, free voicemail, online presence, global directory, contact list, barablu Out and my number.

 

12. Does barablu for Pocket PC work with Bluetooth headsets?

Yes. However we cannot promise if bluetooth headsets of all brands will work.

 

13. I am not able to log in. What's wrong?

If you have problems logging in to the dialler from your Pocket PC then we suggest you check the Internet connection first. If the connection is ok then please report this problem to barablu by email and we'll investigate this and get back to you at the earliest. Report here.
